How to Apply Press-On Nails

Before you start

Check the fit of all ten press-ons before applying adhesive. Use the preparation, application, setting and removal instructions for the nail set and adhesive you actually have. If those instructions are missing, contact us before starting.

1. Check your set and adhesive

Read the set's product information for its sizes and exact contents. Glue, adhesive tabs and tools are not assumed to be included with every set. Identify the adhesive you plan to use and keep its label or instructions nearby.

2. Dry-fit first

Lay out the nails for both hands and try each one without adhesive. Follow the chosen set's fit guidance. If a tip pinches, touches skin or leaves a gap, ask for help; do not force it flat or assume that filing is suitable for every design.

3. Prepare and apply as directed

Follow the adhesive manufacturer's preparation steps and warnings. Align each press-on as instructed, keep adhesive off the skin and use the specified amount. Press and hold for the time stated for that adhesive rather than using a universal time.

4. Check setting and aftercare instructions

Follow the stated setting time and water-contact restrictions before washing, showering or swimming. Wear time varies with the set, adhesive, preparation and daily activities; this guide does not promise a fixed number of days.

5. Plan removal before wearing

Use the removal method specified for your adhesive and set. Do not pull or force a press-on from the natural nail. Reuse only when the set's instructions allow it and the nail remains in suitable condition.
